NG-Bioan 50
Nugget Ammonia Nitrogen Biodegradation
This unique product consists of a combination of eight facultative aerobic microorganisms with the following characteristics:
Converts NH4 to nitrogen gas and hydrogen gas.
Microorganisms consume nitrogen and utilize it for energy.
Hydrogen gas is oxidized and combined into water.
NG-Bioan 50 is composed of eight facultative aerobic microorganisms, with a wide tolerance range for ammonia nitrogen. It can decompose and consume almost all forms of ammonia nitrogen. NG-Bioan 50 converts NH4 into its core components, reducing the ammonia nitrogen content in wastewater and minimizing odor generation. It is non-toxic, non-corrosive, neutral, non-pathogenic (harmless to humans, pets, and wildlife), and easily biodegradable. NG-Bioan 50 can be applied in wastewater treatment systems containing ammonia nitrogen and is widely used in chemical, municipal, leachate wastewater, and other applications.
This describes the application of NG-Bioan 50 in the treatment of leachate wastewater at a landfill site in China.
Figure 1: Ammonia dropped from 850mg/L to 60mg/L in 10hours, and further to 4mg/L after 26hours.
Advantages:
Quickly recover from disturbances in nitrification caused by organic loads, hydraulic overload, or sudden sludge loss.
Enhance ammonia nitrogen removal efficiency or achieve long-term stable removal of ammonia nitrogen in operational systems.
Suitable for establishing nitrification systems in large-scale wastewater treatment plants.
Effectively reduce the impact of organic amine substances on wastewater treatment.
Characteristics:
Free from raw enzymes, surfactants, or solvents.
Can adhere to various surfaces conducive to biofilm formation.
Contains strains of both vegetative and non-spore-forming bacteria, capable of utilizing aerobic, facultative parasitic, and fermentative metabolic pathways, with fast spore germination and growth rates.
Bacteria can proliferate on various surfaces to produce long-lasting effects.
Physical properties:
Specifications:
Odor and appearance: Odorless, light brown particles.
Shelf life: 2 years.
Total count: 3 billion CFU/gm.
Product packaging: 10kg/Pail, should be stored in a cool, dry place, avoiding exposure to high humidity and temperature environments.
Temperature
Nitrification readily occurs within a temperature range of 15-30°C. Nitrification is inhibited and often fails when the temperature drops below 15°C.
NG-Bioan 50 remains active at temperatures of 4-10°C, preventing the loss of nitrification in the system.
Recommendations for Use
Directly add "NG-Bioan 50" to the influent of the aeration tank or wastewater treatment pool in the activated sludge system. This product has been successfully used in activated sludge treatment plants and wastewater treatment pools in oil refineries, food processing companies, coal chemical industry, municipal systems, paper mills, landfills, steel plants, and chemical plants. The dosage rate depends on wastewater flow rate, hydraulic retention time, sludge age, and wastewater ammonia concentration. During the initial seeding period, increase the dosage to quickly establish microorganisms in the system, then continue to decrease the daily dosage over a week or longer. Monitor the effluent to confirm the presence of ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, dissolved oxygen, and pH (as a minimum). Other recommended monitoring parameters include Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN), alkalinity, and effluent Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD).
Safety, Use, and Storage
Store "NG-Bioan 50" refrigerated upon receipt and throughout the entire period of use. Do not freeze this product. Avoid direct contact of the liquid with the skin. In case of contact, thoroughly wash hands with warm soapy water. Avoid eye contact.
